The Workforce Development Program is now engaged in 30 states across the United States, including Hawaii, and 100 unique high schools, universities, and career centers. This nationwide expansion is making a meaningful contribution to the Foundation’s goal of helping solve the talent gap in the door and hardware industry.
Through the program, participants are introduced to DHI education, awarded a Door and Hardware Industry Associate (DHIA) certificate, and given access to the DHI Career Center, where they can post resumes and search for career opportunities. Each applicant is guided through the process by Door Security & Safety Foundation (DSSF) staff and individually connected with local distributors, manufacturers, and technicians, helping create valuable connections between students and potential employers.
As the program continues to grow, we encourage our contributors to help expand its reach by connecting with local educational institutions and sharing the Workforce Development Program registration link with students and educators.
Thank you to all of our donors for making this program possible! Your support is helping introduce the next generation to opportunities in the door and hardware industry and build a stronger workforce for the future.
